FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What is Vyntez Society?
Vyntez Society is an apartment and gated-community management app for Indian housing societies. Today it covers towers and flats, households (owners, tenants, family, vehicles, pets), join requests, committee roles, an opt-in resident directory, a tamper-evident audit log, maintenance billing with two-tap online payments, receipts and GST invoices, society accounting with Tally export, and supervisor zones. Gate security, amenities and utilities are on the roadmap.
How do residents join their society?
The committee shares the society code (it looks like VS-123456). A resident signs in with their phone number, enters the code, picks their tower and flat, and says whether they are an owner, tenant or family member. Owner and tenant requests are approved by the committee; family requests can be approved by the flat’s owner or tenant.
How does a committee set up a society?
Sign in, choose “Register your society”, then add towers and generate flats floor by floor (for example floors 1–14, 4 flats per floor gives 101–1404). Larger societies can import a CSV with towers, flats and owners’ names and phone numbers.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Every new society gets a 30-day free trial of the Premium plan, with no card needed. Register your society and the trial starts; the committee sees the days left in the dashboard.
Is there a price?
Prices are quoted per flat for each society and are not published yet. Write to info@vyntez.com or book a demo and we will send a quote. Every plan starts with the 30-day free trial.
Are phone numbers shown to other residents?
No. The resident directory is opt-in and shows only names, flats and whether someone is an owner, tenant or family member. Phone numbers are masked even for the committee.
Can one person be on the committee and a resident?
Yes. Roles are held per society or per flat. Someone who is the Treasurer and lives in A-1204 switches between the two from the header; permissions always come from the role they are acting in.
How is our data protected?
Sign-in is by phone OTP, sessions are tied to the device, committee money roles must use an authenticator app, and every committee change is written to a hash-chained audit log you can verify. Consent for the privacy notice, directory listing and WhatsApp messages is recorded per purpose under the DPDP Act 2023.
Do children need an account?
No. Children are added to the household without a phone number or account. Accounts are for adults only.
Is there a mobile app?
The resident web app works on any phone and can be installed to the home screen. Android and iOS apps for residents and a guard app for the gate tablet are coming soon.
Can residents pay maintenance online?
Yes. Residents see their dues and pay in two taps with UPI, cards or net banking through Razorpay or Cashfree, straight into the society’s bank account, or set up UPI AutoPay with a notice before every debit. Every payment gets a numbered receipt as a PDF.
When will gate security and amenities be available?
Gate and visitor security is the next phase on our roadmap, followed by amenities and bookings. Payments & billing, accounting and supervisor zones are already live. The features page marks what is live and what is coming soon.
